Pathways to Success: Corporate Counsel Partner with Chicago Law Firms on Law Diversity

Please join us for an interactive panel discussion addressing the ways in which in-house counsel can partner with outside counsel to create pathways for success to attract and retain diverse legal professionals in rewarding careers in Chicago.

Following the CLE program, all guests are invited to continue the conversation with a private networking mixer in the Molson Coors Pub.

The program will consider the following topics, providing attendees with actionable takeaways to further DEI efforts:

• Setting the Stage: Cornell Boggs, Of Counsel and Senior Strategic Advisor with Quarles & Brady LLP, and Chair of the Thrivent Board of Directors, will share diversity statistics to guide the conversation.
• Mapping the Journey: Our panel of Chicago in-house generals counsel and leaders will provide insights on their career journeys, how they arrived at their current roles, and their experience with DEI throughout their careers.
• Candid Conversations about Diversity: Panelists will discuss DEI strategies and dialogue on several levels, including within in-house legal departments, within law firms, collaborative efforts with general counsel, and partnerships between in-house legal teams and law firms. Our panel will identify practical action steps that participants can implement to further the dialogue and implement effective change to support DEI in their legal departments, in their companies, and in the legal industry.
