Taft Chicago, 111 E Wacker Drive, Suite 2600, Chicago, IL 60601
Overview (Program Summary)
Please join us for a presentation on unfair competition and trade secrets, followed by a truffle and wine tasting.
Best practices pair with complex trade secret litigation like fine wine pairs with chocolate.
Increased employee mobility can give rise to litigation surrounding unfair competition and trade secrets. The success of this litigation is highly dependent upon a company following valuable best practices both before a case is filed and during its prosecution or defense.
Presented by Taft partners Rachel Schaller and Daniel Saeedi, this one-hour CLE program will explore important lessons learned – sometimes the hard way – from recent state and federal rulings. Attendees will acquire a better understanding of some of the key pitfalls that can sink a trade secrets misappropriation case and how companies can avoid them.
A truffle and wine tasting will follow the program. Truffles provided by local female-owned company Vosges Haut Chocolat.
