Bring Holiday Joy to Less-Fortunate Children!  Please join ACC NCR’s Community Service Forum in supporting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program which is collecting unwrapped toys in November and December to give as gifts to less fortunate children in the community. Donate a toy virtually or drop a toy at Virginia drop box or Maryland drop box near you.  You can also make a donation to the campaign.  Deadline for toy donations is December 12.  Since we can’t formally track donations from ACC NCR, please take a picture of you dropping off your toy or simply let us know if you participated by sending an email to

Provide Help for LGBTQ+ Kids and Teens in Central Virginia. Side By Side provides programs and services for LGBTQ+ youth ages 11-20 based in Richmond, Charlottesville, and Petersburg as well as services for LGBTQ+ young adults 18-25 experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Each year they support young people in crisis with mental health counseling and suicide prevention help at no cost; housing support; training and technical support for K-12 schools, youth agencies and government entities. This wonderful organization needs your financial donation to continue their good work at a time when stress is high and their services are in great demand.  Please use this link to donate and make your gift in honor of ACC National Capital Region by checking the box to dedicate this donation, then select “in honor of” and add “ACC National Capital Region” as the Tribute Name.
